Innlay lake or well known as treasure lake or Golden Island lake has beautiful customs and traditions and is also an interesting place. So, it is a 2,950 feet above sea level, we can go here from Innlay villages by motor boat and here is the motor-boat camp.
The Innlay lake is near Nyaungshwe in Southern Shan State and easily accessible by road, rail or air. The inhabitance, the Innthas have rich cultural heritage and they still preserve traditional handicraft. It is the unique technique of rowing boat by legs.
The famous and sacred Phaungdaw Oo pagoda is situated in Namaku village, western part of Innlay lake, 13 and a half miles away from Nyaungshwe. There are 5 sacred Buddha Images by King Alaungsithu in 480 Myanmar era.
The Phaungdaw Oo pagoda festival is the most special event for the people of Innlay lake and the festival is annually held in October. The Buddha Images are temporarily joyous on the special royal Karaweik Barge decorated with special craft and flower traveling one shine to another in Innlay Lake.
